(Slightly warped, with wear to the gilding), 17.5cm wide, 22cm deep, 63cm high (6 1/2in wide, 8 1/2in deep, 24 1/2in high). The personification of military or moral victory, and a highly popular decorative motif, Victory corresponds to the Greek goddess Nike. Depicted with wings, she bestows crowns and palms upon triumphant heroes.
