125. An important Empire gilt and chased bronze bowl signed Thomire à Paris. The upper section, featuring a frieze of godrons and pearls and a foliage-decorated base, is supported by three swan-necked columns with foliage scrolls, resting on a triangular base adorned with winged sphinxes and palmettes. (All elements are detached; there is oxidation; the motif at the top of the central shaft is missing.) 27cm in diameter, 54cm high (10 1/2in in diameter, 21in high).
