138. 138W Large curved chest of drawers in walnut and natural wood, southern Germany, mid 18th century A south German walnut, fruitwood banded and parcel-gilt bureau cabinet, mid-18th century The upper section with asymmetric cresting above two moulded doors with shaped banded inlay, and three small drawers, the lower curved section opening with three conformingly banded drawers without traverse, shaped apron and on short splayed legs, the gilding retouched, 147cm wide, 96cm deep, 235cm high (57 1/2in wide, 37 1/2in deep, 92 1/2in high).
