Plus une Exposition particuliere de quelques planches ou tables estans sur la fin de ce livre, esquelles sont monstrees diverses Medalles & graveures antiques, rares & exquises. Paris, Mamert Patisson, 1579. Small in-4° of [8]-149 (mal ch. 147)-[3] leaves, fawn calf, boards decorated with a large central azure motif surrounded by fleur-de-lys set in a lozenge, wide spandrels bound with fillets, spine ribbed, gilt and chased edges (period binding). A curious work illustrated by Pierre Woeiriot. It contains, in addition to the portrait of the author, printed here on a separate sheet and not on the verso of the title, 20 copper-engraved hors-texte plates and 5 wood-engraved figures of rigorous workmanship. That of the Priape is intact. A fine copy, very pure, in its richly decorated contemporary binding with finely chased edges. Minor restorations to the spine and corners.
