A Sèvres plate from the service made for Laetitia Bonaparte ("Madame Mère"), circa 1802 The blue-ground well reserved with a circular panel painted with a laurel wreath surrounding a central gilt star motif, a wide band of loosely bound flowers including roses scrolling below the blue rim picked out with a gilt band of flower heads alternated and stylised leaves, 25cm, "Sevres." in blue script, painter's mark "L.(?)B," and gilder's mark for Weydinger (père) The service consisted of 70 pieces, including 48 plates, at a total cost of 3000 francs.
