Inspired by the pleated fabric of Mariano Fortuny (1871-1949, textile designer), synonymous with elegance, luxury and sensuality in the early 1900s, Isabelle de Borchgrave's series of pleated works seizes on the codes of this technique and creates anamorphs on flat paper to reveal a result modified by the puckering of the paper.
