17. OIE EN JADE CÉLADON ET ROUILLE
XVIIe/XVIIIe siècle
A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE FIGURE OF A DUCK
17th/18th century
Naturalistically carved in the round as a duck crouched on its feet, with its head stretched forward, grasping two lotus stems in its beak, a lotus bud on one side of the neck, the stems and a folded leaf trailing along the other side of the body, a lotus flower resting on its back, with finely incised detailing, the stone with areas of russet and calcification, later wood stand.
