(1748). GUEBRIAND (Comte de) - CONTEST (Marquis de) - PUYZIEULX (Marquis de). HANDWRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE (1748 -1753). 2 volumes in folio of 199 and 184 leaves, marbled basane, (18th century binding). Perfectly legible manuscript copy made in the 18th century of several hundred political and military letters exchanged: - In the first volume between the Comte de Guébriand and the Marquis de Puyzieulx, dated at Versailles, Bonn, Urdingen or Bonn, between September 1748 and April 1751. - In the second, between the Comte de Guébriand and the Marquis de Contest, with various other documents (draft treaty, copy of a letter from the King of Prussia, etc.) dated Bonn, Compiègne, Clemens-Werth between January 1753 and October 1753. Attached is a third manuscript volume, badly damaged, and a 7-page letter in contemporary cipher, decrypted at the time in French.
