A gilt-bronze clock depicting a woman and her dog symbolizing Fidelity, first half of the 19th century Symbolising love and fidelity, this young woman, draped in the classical style, rekindles the flames of the altar. She stands on a columned plinth, draped in a fabric featuring a white enamelled dial with black Roman numerals for the hours. Rectangular base. (Slight oxidation, no key, no balance wheel, movement requires servicing), 30cm wide, 13cm deep, 44cm high (11 1/2in wide, 5in deep, 17in high).
