18. 18R A Qajar tinned copper dish
Persia, 19th Century
of rounded form with wide rim, profusely engraved with an interlace of split palmettes and floral motifs, inscriptions to the walls and in a roundel to the well
40 cm. diam.
Inscriptions: a couplet from a quatrain by Rudaki (d. AD 941) and a verse (not fully decipherable); to the well possibly a date, [1]3 [0]9 (1891-2).
