181. PETITE STATUETTE DE BOUDDHA AMITAYUS EN BRONZE DORÉ

A SMALL GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA AMITAYUS
18th century
Seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, his right hand reaching down towards the ground in bhumishparshamudra, his left hand in dhyanamudra holding a kalasa, wearing a long monastic robe detailed with incised floral hems, loosely draped over his shoulders revealing his bare chest, with downcast eyes downcast below the centred urna, framed by tight curls over the ushnisha.
