Paris, Plon, 1852. 2 volumes in-8, mahogany chagrin, boards decorated with a gilt frame, with in the centre a crown and the initials A. de M., interior roulette, ivory moire lining and endpapers, spine ribbed and decorated, gilt edges (period binding). Edition decorated with 2 portraits engraved by Regnault after Dumont and Mechel, 19 off-text facsimiles, some folding, and several in-text figures and plans. Copy with the cipher of Adolphe de Morgues and handwritten ex-dono of his son Henry de Morgues. Hinges rubbed, light rings, tears on several plates without missing, one large one repaired.
