1870-1871, archive of 13 mounted balloons all bound for Ernée (Mayenne) with cancellations dated both the beginning and the end of the siege thus representing several identifiable balloons such as "La Ville de Florence" (24 September), "L'Armand Barbès" (5 October), "Le Godefroy Cavaignac" (12 October), "L'archimède" (20 October), "Le Jules Favre" (30 November), "Le Poste de Paris" (16 January), etc., all letters complete with 20c blue franking (Laurel or Siege) and arrival postmarks, plus a few additional documents, a fine and uncommon set, for postal history buffs, VG.
