189. 189W A Napoléon III Régence style carved and giltwood centre table, last quarter 19th century The rectangular malachite veneered top with rounded angles above a pierced frieze carved with scrolls, foliate sprays and guilloche pattern, both long rails centred by a radiating female mask within a stylised shell reserve, and on S-shaped foliate scrolling legs headed by flowerhead paterae, joined by a X-shaped foliate stretcher centred by a twin-handled foliate urn, and terminating in claw and ball feet, 140cm wide, 74 cm deep, 77.5cm high (55in wide, 29in deep, 30 1/2in high).
