A MAGNIFICENT PARCEL-GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA
Ming Dynasty, 16th century
Seated in dhyanasana, his hands held in dhyanamudra, wearing a diaphanous robe covering his shoulders and arms and falling in ample folds across his legs, opening at the chest revealing a wan symbol, the face with a serene expression, flanked by long pendulous earlobes, the hair in tight curls.
