(1902). DINET (E.). BEN IBRAHIM (Sliman). RABIA EL KOULOUB OU LE PRINTEMPS DES COEURS. Paris, Piazza, 1902. In-8, marbled basane, first plate decorated with an exceptional gold plate set with 9 Egyptian scarabs (out of 10) surrounding an illustration by Dinet under bevelled glass and resting on a plate engraved with the title of the work, the second plate with a double fillet with gilt fleurons at the corners. Three Saharan legends translated and illustrated by ETIENNE DINET; they are superbly accompanied by 60 fine colour compositions, including 6 hors-texte, playing with the layout in Moorish frames enhanced with gold. Edition of 300 copies, here one of 260 numbered on vellum. An illustrated prospectus reproducing the cover and 3 of the colour compositions is included. Admirable binding with oriental decoration.
