Lot no. 38
1925 CITROËN TYPE C3 5 HP
ERRATUM: contrary to what is indicated in the catalogue, the car was repainted many years ago.
French registration
Sold without technical inspection
Chassis n° 73533
Our example has been in the same family since 1967, when it was registered in the Basses-Pyrénées region and still bears the number 578 BT 64.
Sold new in Paris, it was bought by an industrialist from Pau and arrived in the South-West of France in 1933; it had 5 owners before entering the family of the current owner in 1967.
The bodywork has never been repainted and the bonnet is still the original one: only the upholstery was restored many years ago.
The engine is functional, and the fuel tank was renovated before the sale. There is a clerical error on the registration document: the fifth digit of the chassis number, '3', has been changed to '9'.
Its future owner will have the pleasure of celebrating his 100th birthday at the wheel next year!
