Lot no. 7
French title Chassis # 600299 Engine no. 600299 - A historic and rare motorcycle - Comprehensively restored - Original engine - No reserve The Zündapp KS 750 was developed for the needs of the German army and produced from 1941on. More than two thirds of the components are interchangeable with the BMW R75. The 745cc engine produced 26bhp on the 2 back wheels, and allowed to cross obstacles easily. The bike on offer, one of the very first made, is from September 1942, with chassis number 600299. Its engine number corresponds to its chassis number which is rare for this type of vehicle. According to its owner, it seems to be the third oldest listed, and found by a previous owner in Tunisia. The sidecar was comprehensively restored, both body and mechanicals. The frame, chassis and the body were overhauled by a professional, a file and photos of the restoration process comes with the bike. It has also been mechanically upgraded with original parts. The bike comes in a typical "Afrika Corps" sand yellow configuration. It is in excellent condition and can of course hit the road. There would be around thousand survivors of this type of motorcycle in the world, which is why our fully-restored Zündapp with all its accessories is an excellent example.
