Lot no. 4
Portuguese title Chassis number 136.060.0211952 Engine number 135.925.5508335 - Nice restoration - Reliable and nice to drive - Very nice leather interior - No reserve After World War II Mercedes-Benz's production line was limited to the pre-war 170 V as it was the only model for which the tooling survived. Those post-war cars were equipped with a 1750cc engine which could either be a petrol engine, identified as the 170 VA, or a diesel engine identified as the 170 DA. They met a great success and 83,000 examples were built. The car on offer was registered for the first time with the number HD-RR141 in Germany on 31 December 1952. Well presented in its black paint it is a nicely restored example. The chrome is in good general condition with only some pitting visible on the radiator shell and door handles. The interior is nicely re-trimmed in brown leather with matching brown carpets. The dashboard is appealing and refined. From 1950 the 170 had external boot access and the spare wheel has a metal cover. This very neat example of Mercedes Benz's post-war cars is an opportunity which won't be missed by the enthusiasts.
