With a splendid DOHC 3.4-litre six-cylinder that car was good for a max speed close to 200 km/h, and at the same time featuring a sensual shape, low and flowing, in sharp contrast to other conventional cars of the period. The car did well both on the road and the racetrack, where the XK120 spawned the famous C Type and the D Type, cars that went on to write the most beautiful pages in the history of Jaguar sports car.
