1954 Jaguar XK120 SE Roadster Titre de circulation allemand Châssis n° S 674314 Moteur n° F1100-8S - Provenant d'une collection bavaroise - Intéressante version SE - Restauration de qualité - Superbe combinaison de couleurs Ce roadster XK 120 a été immatriculé aux USA en 1954. Il s'agit de la désirable version SE pour " Special Equipment ". A ce titre, elle bénéficie notamment d'un moteur dont la puissance était portée à 190cv, ou encore des roues fils. Son actuel propriétaire en a fait l'acquisition directement aux USA en 2004 et se souvient qu'elle était en état " sortie de grange ", mais très bien conservée. Dès son arrivée en Allemagne, la voiture va bénéficier d'une restauration complète depuis le châssis qui s'étalera sur 15 mois. On constate encore aujourd'hui la qualité de ces travaux tant la voiture offre un bel aspect. La carrosserie, d'un noir profond, se marie avec une rare élégance à l'intérieur en cuir vert dont on trouve un rappel dans la teinte de jantes. La mécanique, entièrement refaite et " matching numbers ", a bénéficié des mêmes attentions, et un ventilateur additionnel, ainsi qu'une pompe à essence électrique ont été ajoutés. L'ensemble du faisceau électrique a également été refait. Une partie des factures de travaux a été conservée. Depuis sa restauration, cette XK120 a toujours roulé régulièrement, pour de nombreux voyages et rallyes, prouvant par sa fiabilité le sérieux de sa remise en état. Cet exemplaire ajoute à l'élégance de son dessin une combinaison de couleurs du meilleur goût et les performances accrues de la version SE. It is the desirable SE (Special Equipment) version, benefitting from an engine with increased power of 190 bhp, and wire wheels. The current owner acquired the car directly from the US in 2004 and recalls that it was in " barn find " but well preserved condition. As soon as the car arrived in Germany, it underwent a comprehensive restoration lasting 15 months. The lovely appearance of the car today is evidence of the quality of this work. The deep black bodywork is elegantly complemented by the green leather interior, echoed in the colour of the wheels. The fully re-built, matching numbers engine has had the same level of attention, and an extra fan and an electric fuel pump have been fitted. The entire electrical system has also been refurbished. A part of the invoices relating to this work have been kept. Since its restoration, this XK120 has been driven regularly, on numerous journeys and rallies, its reliability proof of the standard of work carried out.
