Elle était en effet, au lendemain du conflit mondial, la première voiture française abordable complètement nouvelle. Dévoilée au Salon de l’Automobile qui, en 1946, se tenait sous les verrières du Grand Palais, elle présentait une conception simple et astucieuse qui permettait d’exploiter au mieux son gabarit limité : le moteur et la transmission étaient à l’arrière, dégageant complètement la plateforme pour les occupants, ce qui permettait d’accueillir quatre personnes assez confortablement. Avec son moteur culbuté, c’était une voiture légère capable d’atteindre 90 km/h. A la portée des bourses modestes, la 4 CV va devenir un véritable symbole de liberté. Le modèle 4CV Grand Luxe présente un équipement comprenant notamment l’antibrouillard et l’avertisseur sonore au-dessus du pare-chocs, des enjoliveurs chromés, deux plafonniers, un luxueux volant, une serrure sur le capot moteur, des sièges à barre chromée… Le très haut de gamme de la 4CV est représenté en 1951 par la décapotable Grand luxe qui est en fait une découvrable. Notre Renault 4 CV découvrable est née en 1954. Elle a connu une restauration par le passé. En bel état de présentation, elle se part d'une belle peinture bleu ciel ainsi qu'un bel habitacle tendu de simili cuir camel recouvert d'une capote en bel état. Elle dispose de tous ses accessoires d'époque, de la roue de secours et de ses 3 moustaches. The very top of the range of the 4CV is represented in 1951 by the Grand Luxe convertible which is in fact a convertible. Our Renault 4 CV convertible was born in 1954. It has been restored in the past. It is in a beautiful state of presentation, with a nice sky blue paint and a nice camel leatherette interior covered with a soft top in good condition. It has all its period accessories, the spare wheel and its 3 whiskers. Its chromes are in good condition and its charm is undeniable.
