1955 Jaguar XK 140 DHC - No reserve - Provenant de l'importante collection d'un passionné belge Titre de circulation belge Châssis n° S 817672 Moteur n° G4458-8S - Restauration de très grande qualité - Élégant mariage du sport et du luxe - Moteur d'origine, culasse "C" - Sans réserve Notre collectionneur a une prédilection pour ce modèle qu'il trouve particulièrement élégant et utilisable, ce qui explique la présence de plusieurs exemplaires dans sa collection, avec chacun ses particularités. Anciennement basée en Californie, la présente voiture était en état d'origine jamais restaurée quand elle a été proposée par Classic Car Service Restaurations, à Anvers, où l'a achetée notre amateur en 2002. Elle était encore munie de ses plaques noires californiennes et avait l'avantage d'être équipée de son moteur d'origine avec culasse "C". Notre collectionneur va alors faire complètement restaurer cette base extrêmement saine. Le dossier dispose de nombreuses photos permettant d'observer la carrosserie mise à nu, le châssis entièrement revu et la mécanique refaite également. L'ajout d'un ventilateur électrique permet d'éviter les problèmes de surchauffe. Bien que les travaux aient été effectués il y a 15 ans, l'état de la voiture est encore de toute beauté, avec une sobre et belle peinture noire, une sellerie rouge invitant à y prendre place et un tableau de bord en bois vernis qui apporte du luxe à cet environnement sportif. Comme à son habitude, le propriétaire a fait installer deux prises USB discrètes et un autoradio relié à deux enceintes à l'arrière. Régulièrement suivi depuis sa restauration complète, ce cabriolet XK 140 est sans aucun doute un des plus beaux du marché. Coming from California, this car was in original, unrestored condition when it was offered by Classic Car Service Restorations, Antwerp, from where the current owner bought it in 2002. It still had its black California plates and had the advantage of being equipped with its original engine with the "C" cylinder head. Our collector then comprehensively restored this car which had an extremely sound base. The folder has many photos showing the bare bodywork, the overhauled chassis and the refurbished mechanicals. An electric fan was added to avoid overheating problems. Although the work was carried out 15 years ago, the car is still in beautiful condition, with a sober and beautiful black paint, appealing red upholstery and a varnished wooden dashboard that brings luxury to this sporting environment. As usual, the owner had two discrete USB sockets installed and a car radio connected to two speakers at the rear.
