Il a opté pour une version 1500 de la MGA, dont il trouvait la ligne plus pure. Ayant lui-même une formation de tôlier-formeur, il s'est lancé dans une restauration complète. La carrosserie a été entièrement sablée et refaite à Nice par le garage Covilli, un dossier de photos attestant des travaux effectués. Elle a été repeinte dans le même gris métallisé que la Jaguar MkII de notre collectionneur, qui estime que plus de 80% des pièces constituant la voiture sont neuves. On peut le vérifier en constatant les montants importants, prés de 15 000 €, que totalisent les factures de pièces jointes au dossier. Avec sa belle sellerie rouge et ses jantes à rayons, cette voiture impeccable est actuellement en rodage et le propriétaire s'en sépare pour des raisons de place. He chose the 1500 version of the MGA, which he believed had the purest design. Having trained as a tinsmith and panel-beater, he embarked on a complete grounds-up restoration. The body was completely sandblasted and redone in Nice by the garage Covilli, a folder of photos confirms the work done. It was repainted in the same metallic grey shade of the Jaguar MkII that the owner also has. He estimates that over 80 % of the parts constituting the car are new. This can be verified by noting the large amount of spare parts invoices totaling almost € 15,000 that can be seen in the invoice file. This impeccable car features a beautiful red upholstery and wire wheels and the engine is at the moment running in. The owner is selling it for a lack of space.
