THE popular Peugeot of the 1950s, here in beautiful condition, in need of servicing. - Developed in part under the German occupation but first marketed in 1948 (along with the 2CV, it was one of the stars of the Motor Show that year), the 203 was Peugeot's first production car with a self-supporting body. - Along with the Citroën 2CV and the Renault 4CV, the car played a key role in the recovery of early post-war France: almost 686,000 examples were produced before production ended in 1960, and for several years the 203 was the only civilian car in Peugeot's catalogue. - In its day, it was considered a reliable, economical and manoeuvrable machine, and even shone in rallying. Released in early 1957, this Peugeot 203C embodies the automotive elegance of the Trente Glorieuses. - It is presented in beautiful condition with its attractive light blue paintwork and fabric interior.
