Le British Motor Industry Heritage qui l'accompagne nous indique que la voiture sortit des chaines à la toute fin de l'année 1958 et fut mise en circulation en avril 1959. Sa livrée d'époque combinait une peinture de couleur rouge référence " Orient Red " à une sellerie de cuir noire à passepoil rouge. La patine actuelle de cette dernière laisse supposer qu'elle est bel et bien d'origine. Notre exemplaire fut intégralement restauré dans les années 90, la mécanique fut alors remise à neuve et la carrosserie reprise depuis le châssis pour être ensuite repeinte en " old english white ". Le conséquent dossier qui l'accompagne permet de retracer l'histoire de la voiture depuis 1990 et témoigne des nombreux soins qu'elle a reçus depuis, y compris tout récemment. Notre rare exemplaire dispose aujourd'hui d'une agréable et homogène patine qui confirme la qualité de la restauration ancienne dont elle a bénéficié. Son actuel propriétaire qui en fit l'acquisition il y a maintenant cinq ans a éprouvé beaucoup de plaisir à son volant. Seulement 30 exemplaires en conduite à gauche auraient été livrés en Europe faisant de ce très joli et vif coupé, une pièce de choix pour tout collectionneur averti. Elle est de plus éligible dans de nombreuses épreuves historiques comme le Tour Auto ou le Mans Classic. The accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage tells us that the car was manufactured towards the very end of 1958 and first registered for the road in April 1959. Its original livery was a combination of red-coloured paint known as "Orient Red" and black leather upholstery with red piping. The current patina suggests that this car is indeed of origin. This example was fully restored in the 90s, the engine rebuilt to new condition and the bodywork taken out from the chassis to be then repainted in "old English white". Its accompanying and extensive record traces the car history back to 1990 and testifies the numerous amount of care it has received since, and until most recently. This rare model has a beautiful and homogenous patina that confirms the quality of the initial restoration it benefited. Its actual owner has experienced great driving pleasure since acquiring it five years ago. Only 30 left-hand drive examples were delivered in Europe, making this gorgeous and sharp coupe a desirable choice for any sophisticated collector. This car is also eligible to enter various historic events, such as the Tour Auto or Le Mans Classic.
