It is this final iteration of the Cadillac Series 62 that interests us today, in its 1961 6-seat convertible version. - American production was characterised by annual styling changes, and the 1961 model was distinguished in particular by its new grille. But the huge fins are still there, phew! - The car that illustrates these pages is one of the 15,500 convertibles produced in 1961. It is characterised by its Bristol Blue colour and its many options, including power steering, soft top and electric windows. - This car, which came from an estate, has not been used for around 8 years. The almost 6.4-litre, 325 bhp V8 is not blocked and will have to be restarted with all the usual precautions. We love the overall patina and the superb blue-on-blue paintwork.
