1963 Maserati 3500 GTi Sebring par Vignale No reserve Titre de circulation anglais Châssis n° AM101*01535 Moteur n° AM101*01657 - Restauration de haut niveau - Une des dernières Maserati six-cylindres - Voiture restaurée et suivie par Bill McGrath - Sans réserve Comme nous l'apprend la copie du bon de commande et de livraison délivrée par Maserati Classiche, cette Sebring devait être initialement pour les États-Unis, mais elle fut livrée neuve en Italie et immatriculée le 21 janvier 1963. Produite à seulement 335 exemplaires, elle correspond à la dernière Sebring produite en 1962 et comporte trois options intéressantes : climatisation, repose-tête de courtoisie pour le passager et roues à rayons chromés. Son précèdent propriétaire, grand collectionneur de Maserati, décide en 2011 de se lancer dans une restauration complète. Il fait appel à l'un des meilleurs spécialiste de la marque, Bill McGrath Ltd, en Angleterre. Les travaux s'achèvent en mai 2015, pour un résultat absolument parfait. La carrosserie a été restaurée dans sa très belle teinte d'origine "Amaranto Roma", avec une sellerie et des moquettes beige clair. Au total, les travaux totalisent 170 000 £ de factures jointes au dossier de la voiture. Elle a reçu en septembre 2015 le premier prix du concours d'état organisé dans le cadre du rallye International des Clubs Maserati décerné par Adolfo Orsi lui-même. Elle fut achetée lors du salon Rétromobile, par un collectionneur anglais impressionné par l'état de la voiture. Ce dernier utilisa la voiture régulièrement, n'hésitant pas à la renvoyer chez Bill McGrath fin 2018 pour que son fonctionnement soit parfait (facture de 7000 £). En juin 2018, la Sebring fut mise à l'honneur dans un article du magazine Classic Cars au côté de la DB5 de notre collectionneur. Affichant 65 584 km au compteur, vendue avec des documents de Maserati Classiche, une brochure de vente d'époque, son dossier de factures ainsi qu'une trousse à outils italienne d'époque, cette Sebring est une incroyable machine de Grand Tourisme. AM101*01657 - High-quality restoration - One of the last six-cylinder Maseratis - Car restored and maintained by Bill McGrath - No reserve As can be seen from the copy of the order and delivery note from Maserati Classiche, this Sebring was initially destined for the USA, but was delivered new in Italy and registered on 21 January 1963. With just 335 built, it was the final Sebring produced in 1962 and featured three interesting options: air-conditioning, a passenger headrest and chrome wire wheels. Its previous owner, an important collector of Maseratis, decided in 2011 to embark on a comprehensive restoration. He turned to one of the top Maserati specialists, Bill McGrath Ltd, in the UK. The restoration work was completed in May 2015 and the results proved absolutely perfect. The body was restored to its original colour, an attractive "Amaranto Roma", with beautiful light beige upholstery and carpets. Altogether, the work added up to £170,000, as can be seen from the invoices supplied with the car. In September 2015, it received first prize in the concours held during the international rally organised by the Maserati clubs. The prize was awarded by Adolfo Orsi in person. The car was then purchased at Rétromobile by an English collector who was impressed by its condition. He used it regularly and had no hesitation in taking it back to Bill McGrath at the end of 2018 to keep it running perfectly (with a bill for £7000). In June 2018, the Sebring featured in Classic Cars magazine next to its owner's DB5. With 65,584 km recorded, and to be sold with its Maserati Classiche documentation and file of bills, an original sales brochure and a period Italian toolkit, this Sebring is an amazing GT.
