Sous le capot prenait place le célèbre quatre cylindres double arbre 1300 cm3 cher à la marque. En 1962, lorsque la berline Giulietta était remplacée par la très innovante Giulia, le nouveau 1600 cm3 de 95 chevaux fut offert au Spider qui, sans changements esthétiques majeurs, devint alors Giulia Spider. Cet exemplaire de 1964 se présente en remarquable état. Vendue neuve aux USA, son propriétaire actuel l’a acquise dans son état d’origine et a entrepris une restauration exemplaire complète. Coté moteur, c’est Alain MURACIOLE, grand spécialiste Alfa Romeo qui lui a redonné une nouvelle jeunesse. La caisse a été démontée intégralement afin d’être traitée et de recevoir sa magnifique peinture rouge. Les ajustements de caisse et chromes sont parfaits, tout comme l’intérieur, la capote et le tonneau cover. Seule entorse à l’origine, mais pour la bonne cause, elle est équipée des carburateurs de la Veloce. Elle est ainsi prête à prendre la route, garantissant un réel plaisir à son conducteur car c’est bien là la force des Alfa Romeo : le plaisir de conduite est toujours à la hauteur du plaisir des yeux ! Under the bonnet was the famous 1300 cc twin-cylinder engine that was so dear to the brand. In 1962, when the Giulietta saloon was replaced by the innovative Giulia, the new 1600 cc 95 hp engine was offered to the Spider which, without any major aesthetic changes, became the Giulia Spider. This 1964 example is in remarkable condition. Sold new in the USA, its current owner acquired it in its original condition and undertook a complete restoration. On the engine side, Alain Muraciole, a great Alfa Romeo specialist, has given it a new lease of life. The body was completely dismantled to be treated and to receive its magnificent red paint. The body and chrome adjustments are perfect, as well as the interior, the bonnet and the tonneau cover. The only departure from the original, but for good reason, it is equipped with the Veloce's carburettors. It is therefore ready to take to the road, guaranteeing real pleasure for its driver, because that is the strength of Alfa Romeo: the pleasure of driving is always equal to the pleasure of the eyes!
