L'exemplaire présenté est une rare et intéressante version conduite à gauche, vendue neuve par la société Franco-Britannic, importateur officiel de la marque à Levallois-Perret, ainsi que le confirme la plaque fixée sur la cloison pare-feu. C'est en mai 1993 que son actuel propriétaire, grand amateur et collectionneur de voitures anglaises, en a fait l'acquisition aux enchères, alors que la Cloud appartenait auparavant à un architecte parisien, devenu écrivain depuis. Depuis, la voiture a continué à circuler, bénéficiant de réparations lorsque c'était nécessaire. La carrosserie, saine, a été repeinte anciennement et porte les traces de son utilisation régulière. Elle a conservé les phares et feux latéraux Marchal, spécifiques aux versions françaises. La superbe sellerie en cuir bleu gris est quant à elle restée d'origine et bien préservée. La mécanique fonctionne de manière satisfaisante, mais devra bénéficier d'une révision générale, la voiture ayant peu roulé ces dernières années. Nous avons noté que le compresseur de climatisation était absent du compartiment moteur. Affichant 84 187 km au compteur, cette Silver Cloud, à l'origine réservée aux patrons d'industrie, aux têtes couronnées et aux stars, mérite l'attention d'un nouveau collectionneur qui aura à cœur de circuler avec élégance et distinction. Since then, the car has continued to be driven, benefiting from repairs when necessary. The sound bodywork was repainted in the past and bears the marks of its regular use. It retained the Marchal headlamps and sidelights, specific to the French versions. The superb grey blue leather upholstery has is original and well preserved. The mechanicals work satisfactorily, but will need a general overhaul, as the car has not been driven much in recent years. We noted that the air conditioning compressor was missing from the engine bay. With 84,187 km on the odometer, this Silver Cloud, originally reserved for industry bosses, crowned heads, and celebrities, deserves the attention of a new collector who will enjoy the car's elegance and distinction.
