Lot no. 335
1970 MASERATI GHIBLI 4.7L
At the Turin Motor Show in 1966, the Ghia stand presented a new Maserati, the tipo 115, known as the Ghibli.
The talented Giorgietto Giugiaro who signed this masterpiece.
This beautiful twoseater coupe or "berlinetta" offers a tight and aggressive line of high purity.
The installation of the V8 dry sump has lowered the general line maximum.
The front engine positioned very low, the huge hood and dish, very remote cockpit gives the Ghibli design a unique purity and superbly managed.
We are witnessing the culmination of the great GT front engine.
The Ghibli was the most expensive berlinetta of his time, it was more expensive than the Lamborghini Miura and Ferrari 275 GTB.
The aura of the brand, build quality and finishes were also higher.
This did not prevent the model won a great commercial success, since the production of this coupé totaled the 1149 copies, more than its two main competitors.
She was also one of the fastest cars of the earth at the time.
Its engine is straight from the competition, it comes down to the 450S.
The model was purchased new by its former owner in the US, so it is a second hand.
His painting was redone a few years ago along with the upholstery.
The mechanics were revised and developed by a professional.
This is a very good investment today.
It is a must! And it has pleased many celebrities such as Jean-Paul Belmondo, Claude François and Alain Delon in the famous film "The Pool".
