Le 22 juin 1984, elle était immatriculée à Charleroi, au nom de Mme Denise Taicon, et c'est auprès d'elle que le père de l'actuelle propriétaire en a fait l'acquisition, en mars 1986. Cette Mercedes recevait alors une immatriculation française et restait dans la même famille jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Un important dossier de factures témoigne de l'entretien régulier dont elle a bénéficié, ainsi que des travaux qui ont été effectués et dont voici un bref rappel : En 1988 : réfection de la boîte de vitesse automatique au garage Nocturne, à Rennes, et adaptation d'un système de suspension pneumatique Monroe à l'arrière, avec commande au tableau de bord. En novembre 1994 : remise en état des soubassements. Ces derniers devront cependant être restaurés, notre examen ayant révélé la présence de corrosion perforante par endroits. En décembre 1994 : réfection de la sellerie en cuir rouge (sièges avant et banquette), les panneaux de portes étant reteintés. En 1995 : remise en état du train avant, avec notamment remplacement des pivots et des bras de suspension. La même année, réfection des chromes et montage d'un échappement inox. En 2009 : révision des freins. La capote est en très bon état. Cette voiture ayant été peu utilisée ces dernières années, elle devra faire l'objet d'une révision générale avant d'envisager de longs trajets. Elle est néanmoins roulante et constitue une base de restauration très intéressante. Il s'agit en effet d'un modèle particulièrement rare, avec 1 232 exemplaires produits, dont une partie seulement en version européenne. Avec son V8 3,5 litres, elle combine le confort et le luxe propres à la marque avec une puissance très largement supérieure à la moyenne. An important invoice folder shows the regular maintenance the car has received, as well as works that have been carried out. In 1988 : restoration of the automatic transmission by the garage Nocturne in Rennes, and adaptation of a dashboard operated Monroe pneumatic suspension system at the rear. In November 1994: refurbishment of the underbody. The latter need to be restored again, as our examination of the vehicle revealed the presence of pitting corrosion in some places. In December 1994: restoration of the red leather upholstery (front seats and rear bench), the door panels being retinted. In 1995: restoration of the front suspension, including the replacement of pivots and suspension arms. The same year, refurbishment of the chrome and mounting of a stainless steel exhaust system. In 2009: overhaul of the brakes. The soft top is in very good condition. This car has seen little use in recent years, thus it will need to be overhauled before going for long trips. Nevertheless, the car is working and provides an interesting basis for a thorough restoration. This is indeed a particularly rare model, with just 1,232 units produced, a small part of which were the European version. With its 3.5-liter V8, this car combines the comfort and luxury peculiar to the brand, with a performance well above average.
