Lot no. 236
French registration Chassis # 17327 - Two owners and only 42,254km since new - Group 4 version in very good state of preservation - Only two owners since new This car is in very good original condition, thanks to a fairly quite career. Purchased directly from the factory with Group 4 specifications by its first owner, to take part in regional races, it was acquired in June 1980 by its second and current owner, under pressure from one of his friends, who races single-seaters. This berlinette was then equipped with a 1860cc Mignotet engine, which was considered too fragile, and has been replaced by a 1596cc engine to participate more smoothly in 1980 Tour de Corse race. An inexperienced crew erred on the timings and thus didn't really figure despite some very good timings. The owner then took part again in the same rally two years later, but due to a carburetor problem, he was forced to retire. Thereafter, the car has been for a few hill climbs and regional rallies (les Geants, le Touquet, etc ), which explains its particularly limited mileage of just 42,254km. The body has recently received a new coat of paint but the interior is original, with its bucket seats, a roll cage, a fire extinguisher, spare wheel behind the seats and even the car's Speedpilot Halda from the period. Two owners, low kilometers, no tinkering with the mechanicals: a particularly rare situation for a Alpine Gr 4 berlinette, a car that will surely attract all true enthusiasts.
