Lot no. 9
1972 Maserati Indy 4,7 litres America coupé
Carte grise française
Châssis n° AM116471474
- Belle présentation, entretien suivi
- Habitacle quatre places

Chassis n° AM116471474
- Superb presentation, regularly maintained
- Four seats
- High specification and performance
The Indy 4,7 litres presented was bought by the current owner, the former vice-president of Club Maserati France, in 2000. It had previously belonged to a Renault dealer from Tulle, who acquired the car in 1997 from M. Duclos-Grenet, the president of Club Aston Martin during the 1990s. It was restored at the end of the 1980s in the workshops of Campana and Gandini (formerly at Bertone) in Modena, Italy. On the body, this included wax treatment to the box sections, and the engine had a top-end re-build with hardened valves.
The Pino Verde paintwork was redone in 2012 by Delpippo in Montreuil, and generally speaking, the car has always been maintained by marque specialists known to the club.
The interior is well equipped and in excellent condition with nicely patinated beige leather upholstery, and has air conditioning, power steering and a K7 Alpine radio.
This is a wonderful example of a classic 1970s GT car, that remains undervalued, with a performance that rivals the very best.
