1973 Datsun 240 Z Racing No reserve Véhicule de compétition Sans titre de circulation Châssis n° HLS 3014 7099 - Collection d'un gentleman driver autrichien - Moteur " Rebello ", environ 280cv ! - Moteur refait en 2020 - Préparation soignée - Hommage aux succès du modèle en SCCA - Sans réserve Le succès des Datsun série Z est loin de s'être cantonné au domaine commercial, et les brillants résultats en compétition furent nombreux et variés dès l'apparition de la 240Z, tant en rallye (3ème place au Monte-Carlo 72), en rallye-raid (victoire à l'East African Safari Rallye 73) que sur piste, notamment aux USA en SCCA. C'est dans l'état d'esprit de courses sur piste américaines qu'a été réalisé cet exemplaire. Un article dans Austro Classic en 2016 précisait que cet exemplaire avait été réalisé en Angleterre, avant de courir au sein de courses historiques aux Pays-Bas. Puis, en 2016, la voiture a été entièrement remise en état par les Ets SC-Automobil KG, à Vösendorf, en Autriche. Le moteur 2.8L (base 280Z), refait de nouveau en 2020, provient du célèbre préparateur californien "Rebello" et développerait environ 280cv grâce notamment aux trois carburateurs Mikuni 48 ou à l'échappement course. L'ensemble est complété d'une boîte de vitesses à cinq rapports, d'un embrayage fritté bi-disques, d'un différentiel à glissement limité avec refroidissement, de suspensions réglables montées sur uniball, des quatre freins Wilwood à disques ventilés, des jantes en magnésium et d'un réservoir course de 60 litres. Les ouvrants et les ailes avant sont en polyester. Pour ce qui concerne la sécurité, un arceau, un système d'extinction incendie, ainsi que des harnais sont présents. L'actuel propriétaire nous a confirmé que la voiture était prête à courir, après les vérifications d'usage. Véritable bête de course, soigneusement préparée, et peu courante sur nos circuits, cette Datsun ne manquera pas d'attirer l'attention des connaisseurs. This particular car was made with a view of racing on American tracks. An article in Austro Classic in 2016 stated that this example was made in England, before racing in historic races in the Netherlands. Then in 2016, the car was completely restored by SC-Automobil KG in Vosendorf, Austria. The 2.8L engine (from the 280Z) was rebuilt in 2020 by the renowned Californian racing specialist "Rebello" and it now produces around 280 hp thanks in particular to the three Mikuni 48 carburetors and the racing exhaust. The set is completed with a five-speed gearbox, a twin-disc sintered clutch, a limited-slip differential with cooling, adjustable suspensions mounted on uniball, four Wilwood ventilated disc brakes, magnesium rims and a 60-litre racing tank. Openings and front wings are made of polyester. When it comes to safety, a hoop, a fire extinguisher system, as well as harnesses are included. The current owner has confirmed that the car is ready to race following service checks. A true racing beast, carefully prepared and unusual on race tracks, this Datsun will certainly attract a lot of attention from enthusiasts.
