Lot no. 134
German title Chassis Number: 17955 Engine Number: 0228 - Low mileage - Only three owners from new - Undervalued model Chassis Number 17955 was ordered in this Dark blue. The client was Paddy McNally, a well known race driver in the 60s who later became for Bernie Ecclestone´s Formula 1 Organization marketing and PR manager. He ordered it through Maranello Concessionaires in the UK in left hand drive and brought it to Geneva where he lived at the time. Eventually #17955 found its new home in Miami, Florida. From there it went to Swedish investment fund Consolidator Veteran cars in Stockholm. Hans Thulin, who ran this fund became world famous in the late 80s for buying a Bugatti Royale and Ferrari 250 GTO at world record prices. Consolidator eventually went bankrupt and all the cars were sold but this car remained in Sweden. The car was registered for traffic the 23rd of April 1998. To do this, he had to re-commission the car at Ferrari experts Jarls bilservice in Malmö where everything was changed that needed to be changed at this time. The second owner has since changed the timing belts and brakes and has been superbly maintained all this time by famous Swedish Ferrari mechanic Lars Widenborg. The odometer showed in 1998, 10,927 miles and in 2014, 13,813 miles so the car has seen minimal miles and everything has been done to keep this car in fresh condition and the only recent work was the installation of a new ANSA exhaust system. It has also recently received a brake and suspension overhaul. In today's market the 365 BB is undervalued and with only 380 cars built is an investment opportunity not to be missed, this one especially in the gorgeous blue and it is the quicker of the BB series.
