"A rare and little-known Italian, despite its many advantages!
"A rare and little-known Italian, despite its many advantages!
- With the success of the Miura at an all-time high, the Sant'Agata Bolognese factory was looking to increase production volumes. There was only one solution: to add a more mainstream model, at a lower price, while retaining the soul that already prevailed in the - admittedly short - production run. The recipe was found in a car sharing the architecture of the Miura, in direct competition with the Ferrari 308 and Porsche 911.
- The design was still original Bertone, the chassis was 9 cm shorter, and the V12 was swapped for a 220 bhp V8. Above all, the car had the advantage of two small booster seats at the rear. The elegant competitor to the 308 GT4 was presented at the 1970 Turin Motor Show, before going on sale in 1972.
- Our example is part of the first series of this little-known production run of around 520 units. Delivered new in Spain in this discreet light grey colour with black leather interior, it has been in the collection of a true enthusiast from the Paris region for the past 8 years.
- During our test drive, we were struck by the driving quality of such a car: often compared to the 308 GT4, the Urraco is in fact a much more enjoyable car to drive, offering performance that feels modern!
- This is a rare opportunity to add to your collection a car that combines the charm of an Italian, the practicality of a 2+2 and the nobility of a 1970s Lamborghini!
