Lot no. 695
Monégasque title Chassis # 35829558D - First generation model - Clear history - Around € 55,000 in restoration costs The Range Rover is the instigator of the now very popular SUV category. At the time of its launch, this concept, which combined 4x4, luxury, and road qualities was revolutionary. Today, it remains, and rightly so, a real milestone in the history of the automobile. The car we are offering was sold new in France in 1975. The first owner sold it to the current one, who then undertook its restoration, carried out by the Porsche GTS workshop in San Remo. The bodywork has been repainted in an elegant green color, the engine has been overhauled, and the interior restored to its original condition. The work was carried out over a period of two years and a folder of invoices for replaced parts and photos testifies to this restoration. Approximately € 55,000 was spent. This beautiful example is equipped with air-conditioning, and comes with its original tool kit, a booklet which lists all the rides and mechanical work done by the first owner, as well as the period repair manual. With its clear history, its beautiful restoration and its attractive color combination, this Range Rover is a worthy representative of the first generation of these adventure machines.
