En janvier 1977, l'usine introduisit une série de modifications sur la mécanique, dénommée " Stage 1 " et portant notamment sur des arbres à cames re-profilés, une ligne d'échappement modifiée et un nouveau réglage du train arrière. Peu répandues, ces versions sont aujourd'hui très recherchées. D'après la fiche de sortie d'usine délivrée par Aston Martin, l'exemplaire présenté fait partie de cette série et fut à l'origine livré en conduite à droite en Angleterre. Le même document indique qu'elle était d'une élégante livrée " vert mélèze ", avec intérieur " fawn " et il semblerait qu'elle fût destinée à la démonstration. Aujourd'hui, la voiture présente les avantages de la conversion en conduite à gauche avec compteur en kilomètres. La mécanique d'origine a été remplacée par une version à injection, couplée à une boite mécanique afin d'exploiter au mieux le potentiel du puissant V8. Son propriétaire en a fait l'acquisition en 2002. Elle a depuis bénéficié de plusieurs interventions chez RPM à Clichy, notamment le remplacement des roulements de roues en 2007, ou encore le remplacement du mécanisme d'embrayage et de la butée en 2011, ainsi que d'une remise en état de l'intérieur en 2015. La voiture dispose, en outre, d'un désirable toit ouvrant électrique. In January 1977 the factory introduced a series of improvements on the mechanicals, called "Stage 1", which focused on the re-profiling of camshafts, a modified exhaust system and a new setting for the rear axle. These rare versions are very sought after nowadays. According to the factory certificate issued by Aston Martin, this car is one of these and was originally delivered in RHD form in the UK. The same document indicates that the car had an elegant "green larch" shade, and a "fawn" interior. This car was, in all likelihood, a demonstrator. It was subsequently converted to LHD, and the speedometer changed to kilometers. The original mechanicals were replaced by an injection system, mated to a manual gearbox, in order to get the best out of the powerful V8. Its owner acquired the car in 2002 and it has been serviced by RPM in Clichy. The work done included the replacement of the wheel bearings in 2007 and the release bearing in 2011, as well as the restoration of the interior in 2015. This car is also equipped with a desirable electric sunroof.
