Lot no. 158
French title Chassis n° 9308700012 - One of the very first 3.3-litre versions of the 930 - Same owner since 1980 - Known, interesting history This pretty 930 is one of the earliest examples of the 3.3-litre European version. The chassis number would be the second in the series, which starts with the n° 9308700011. It was road registered on 3 June 1977, just ahead of the 78 model year, the first year the 3.3-litre version was generally available. The engine number, 678 0001, also corresponds to the earliest examples. The service book shows Porsche A.G. as the first owner, suggesting that this could be a prototype or factory car. The subsequent history is also interesting as the car was acquired directly from Germany in 1980 by the current French owner. He has always looked after it meticulously and the odometer stands at a little over 125 000 km today. It is presented in the rather rare, original colour of carmine red. The original fabric and leatherette interior remains in very good condition, and it comes with a set of polished Fuchs wheels. The car is in excellent overall condition, having been repainted when the body was confirmed as being rust-free. It has only been driven sparingly since the turbo was replaced in 2012. The car is offered with its original radio, file of invoices, manuals, toolkit and compressor. A 930 with a history like this is hard to find. It is a car that will bring joy to its new owner, with each surge of the turbo-charged engine.
