Peut-être, tant elle conjuguait les superlatifs. Voiture de " série " la plus rapide, la plus chère et la plus puissante du monde à sa sortie, elle ne pouvait que défrayer la chronique. Héritière de la 288 GTO, coupée dans son élan par la disparition du groupe B, la F40 concentre le meilleur de la technologie de son époque, notamment des solutions directement issues de la Formule 1. Spartiate et extrême, elle ne dispose pas d'isolation phonique, pas non plus d'assistance de direction, et aucune concession au confort n'est faite hormis l'indispensable climatisation, compte tenu des calories fournies par le moteur. Fibre de carbone, Kevlar et Nomex sont utilisés pour la coque, de telle sorte que le poids de l'auto reste extrêmement contenu : seulement 1100 kg pour une puissance de 478 ch. délivrée par le V8 bi-turbo. En résultent des performances hors du commun : le 0 à 100 km/h abattu en 3,9 sec., 0 à 200 km/h en 12 sec. Et le 1000 D.A. en 21 sec. : simplement ahurissant ! Au total, 1 311 exemplaires seront construits. Cette Ferrari F40, qui arbore le traditionnel rouge " rosso corsa Ferrari 300 " a été livrée neuve à Tokyo par l'importateur Cornes Motor et était enregistrée entre 2008 et 2014 à Nagoya (préfecture d'Aïchi). On observe que pendant cette période, elle n'a parcouru que 200 km, affichant alors 28 600 km au compteur. Son nouveau propriétaire, un grand collectionneur de supercars, a alors décidé d'effectuer de nombreux travaux, pour un montant total de près de 40 000 €, effectués chez Ferrari Motor Service à Modene, Mario Vicenzi étant un spécialiste reconnu de la Ferrari F40. Deux nouveaux réservoirs d'essence homologués ont été installés et sont valables jusqu'en 2025, les deux sièges baquets et le tableau de bord reconditionnés afin de parfaire sa présentation. Les quatre pneus sont neufs. La voiture a ainsi pu obtenir la précieuse certification Ferrari Classiche, dont le classeur sera fourni à l'acheteur. On dispose du carnet d'entretien et d'un dossier de factures concernant l'entretien régulier (vidanges, changements de filtres et de plaquettes de frein). Avec aujourd'hui un peu plus de 29 000 km au compteur, cette Ferrari F40 a été livrée neuve sans suspension pilotée ni convertisseur catalytique ce qui en fait une configuration rare et désirable. Sortant de révision et certifiée par Ferrari, elle est un des plus intéressants exemplaires disponibles sur le marché. Quite possibly, as it had all the superlatives. The fastest, most expensive and most powerful " production " car when it was launched, the F40 couldn't fail to hit the headlines. Successor to the 288 GTO, whose career had been cut short by the disappearance of Group B, the F40 utilised the most advanced technology of its day, including solutions coming directly from Formula 1. Spartan and extreme, the car had no sound insulation, power steering or any concession to comfort other than air conditioning, deemed essential given the calories burnt by the engine. Carbon fibre, kevlar and nomex were used for the body shell, keeping the weight down to 1100 kg on a car with a V8 twin-turbo engine delivering 467 bhp. The performance was simply breathtaking: 0 to 200 km/h in 12 seconds and 0 to 1000m in 21 seconds. In total, some 1 311 examples were built. This Ferrari F40, presented in the traditional " rosso corsa Ferrari 300 " red, was delivered new in Tokyo by the importer Cornes Motor. Between 2008 and 2014, it was registered in Nagoya (Aichi Prefecture), and appears to have covered just 200 km during this time, the odometer then showing 28,600 km. Its new owner, a big collector of supercars, had some 40 000 € of work carried out by Ferrari Motor Service in Modena, run by renowned F40 specialist Mario Vicenzi. Two new homologated fuel tanks were fitted, valid until 2025. The two bucket seats and the dashboard were refurbished to perfect the presentation of the car, which has four new tyres. This F40 has obtained the precious Ferrari Classiche certification, and the folder will be passed to the new buyer. The car comes with service book and a file of invoices for its regular maintenance (oil changes, new oil filters and brake pads). With a little over 29 000 km on the clock, this Ferrari F40, was deliver new without any catalytic converters nor adjustable suspension making it more rare and desirable.
