Malgré de nouveaux boucliers, de nouvelles jantes et tant de détails, elle reprend l’esthétique bestiale et typiquement eighties de son aînée, pourtant la 512 TR se veut bien plus accessible en terme de conduite. Avec elle, la Testarossa peut enfin s’apprécier pleinement, l’ensemble boîte / embrayage ne demandant plus au conducteur de suivre un entraînement régulier de son mollet gauche et de son bras droit. En 1995, Johnny mit la voiture à son nom propre avant, de la revendre en 1997, à l’un de ses amis ténor du Barreau de Paris, après 25 000 kilomètres réalisés à son volant, suffisamment pour que ses bagues aient eu le temps d’écorcher la casquette du compteur au fil des manœuvres et virages.
