2. * AR ALFRED MANESSIER (1911-1933) La mise au tombeau (or the guarded tomb) 1949 signed and dated 49 watercolour on paper 31.5 x 23.9 cm. This is the original watercolour that was shown at the artist's first solo exhibition in 1949 at the Jeanne Bucher gallery in Paris. It belonged to one of the head copies of the lithographs produced on the theme of Easter (plate no. 5).
