20. 20W R A large brass tray depicting scenes from the story of Yusuf and his life in Egypt Syria, Damascus, dated AD 1889 profusely engraved with figural scenes and inscription-filled cartouches 69.5 cm. diam. Inscriptions: inscriptions relating to Yusuf's life in Egypt, his birth, the jealousy of his brothers, being dropped into the well, meeting pharaoh, his dreams and their interpretation; signed: 'umila na'san ikhwan fi dimashq al-sham sana 1889, 'Made by Na'san Ikhwan in Damascus of al-Sham, the year 1889' (sic).
