Painted with three chinoiserie scenes of figures flanked by flowers on gilt scrollwork brackets filled with Böttger lustre and edged with purple and iron-red scrollwork, flanked by sprigs of indianische Blumen, the cover, possibly a later replacement, similarly decorated within a formal gilt floral and zig-zag border reserved with puce chinoiserie vignettes, gilt inside rims, 11.7cm across; 7.3cm high, faint traces of blue crossed swords mark (minor flaking to gilt inside rims) (2)
