Outre sa dénomination « Scaglietti «, en référence aux œuvres du légendaire carrossier (Testarossa, Monza, California et la mythique 250 GTO, entre autres), cette berlinette apporte un vent nouveau dans la production de la marque au cheval cabré. Son style introduit une nouvelle signature esthétique, le raffinement est encore plus marqué qu'auparavant et la mécanique affiche des solutions technologiques inédites. Avec un empattement important, sa longue carrosserie tout en courbes affirme un style résolument novateur, mais également le matériau utilisé, puisqu'elle est entièrement réalisée en aluminium. L'intérieur surprend aussi pour l'espace qu'il offre aux quatre occupants, confortablement installés dans un habitacle particulièrement cossu, tendu de cuir Connolly où l'aluminium est là encore omniprésent. Sous le capot, on découvre un splendide V12 de 5,7 l. de cylindrée en position centrale-avant, qui développe 540 ch au régime impressionnant de 7250 tr/mn. L'équilibre des masses est remarquable puisqu'on arrive au chiffre de 46% à l'avant et 54% à l'arrière, du fait notamment de l'implantation de la boîte de vitesses, accolée au pont. Cette boîte séquentielle semi-automatique est pourvue de six rapports et permet, grâce à sa technologie «F1» héritée de la compétition, des changements de rapports ultra-rapides, de l'ordre de 200 millisecondes. Les résultats de cette sophistication mécanique se font immédiatement ressentir, avec un 0 à 100 km/h abattu en 4,2 sec, le 1000 m. DA en 22 sec, et une vitesse de pointe de 322 km/h ! L'exemplaire proposé datant de 2005 est de couleur noire, avec un intérieur en cuir magnolia combinaison de couleur à la fois discrète et élégante. In addition to its « Scaglietti « title, in reference to the creations of the legendary coachbuilder (Testarossa, Monza, California and iconic 250 GTO, amongst others), this berlinetta put life back into production of the prancing horse marque. Its design introduced a new aesthetic, with emphasis on further refinement and new technological developments on the mechanical side. With a long wheelbase, the curvaceous body shape, made entirely from aluminium, was highly innovative. The four-seater interior was surprisingly spacious and was adorned with Connolly leather, complementing the omnipresent aluminium. Under the bonnet lay the splendid 5.7-litre V12 engine in mid-front layout, which produced 540 bhp at 7,250 rpm. The weight distribution was excellent, with 46% at the front and 54% at the back, due largely to the position of the gearbox over the rear axle. The six-speed semi-automatic sequential gearbox, developed using F1 technology, featured ultra-quick gear change (200 milliseconds). The highly sophisticated mechanics produced an outstanding performance: 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, 1,000m in 22 seconds from a standing start and a top speed of 322 km/h ! The example proposed in the sale dates from 2005 and is presented in the discreet and elegant colour combination of black with magnolia leather interior. This is a one-owner car that has covered just 5,000 km from new, and will be sold complete with log book and owner's manual.
