Modelled by P. Reinicke, holding an open case containing his wares on his left arm and holding his tricorn hat with his left hand, wearing a long white coat with gilt buttons, a red waistcoat and black breeches and shoes, a case of drawers fitted with straps to the rear, the base applied with leaves and flowers, 18.5cm high

Based on the engraving "Des Couteaux, des Cizeaux, des Peignes" after Edme Bouchardon from the series "Études Prises dans le Bas Peuple où les Cris de Paris: Quatrième Suite," published in 1742.
Reinicke's work records for August 1747 include: "Eine Tabulet-Träger Figur, in Thon reparirt" [a figure carrying a tabulet, repaired in clay].
