An Empire gilt and patinated bronze clock with two lions supporting the movement The two lions, standing back-to-back, support the pedestal on which is mounted the white enamelled dial, signed 'Chopin, Paris'; it is surmounted by an Egyptian holding a cup of offerings. Rectangular base with rounded sides, decorated with foliage friezes. (damage to the dial, oxidation, wear and tear, no key, no balance wheel, movement in need of servicing), 38cm wide, 9cm deep, 35cm high (14 1/2in wide, 3 1/2in deep, 13 1/2in high).
