222. A Meissen coffee pot and cover, circa 1750
Finely painted with a continuous landscape scene depicting elegant figures and merchants and their wares by an estuary, over double red line borders, the domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a flower finial, the handle and spout embellished in gilding, 22.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised N inside footrim (minor restoration to cover) (2)
