227. A portico clock in black marble and gilt-bronze, first half of the 19th century The portico with Doric columns features a fountain with a lion's head at the back. The white enamelled dial is signed 'Normant à Paris'. The upper section features an eagle, two lions and a frieze of vine leaves. Rectangular base. (damage, missing parts, one detached hand, oxidation, no key, no balance wheel, movement in need of servicing), 32cm wide, 15.5cm deep, 49cm high (12 1/2in wide, 6in deep, 19in high).
